Dr Ghislain Maurice N. Isabwe received a PhD degree in Information and Communication Technology from University of Agder (Norway) in June 2013. He was awarded a Master of Philosophy in Advanced Telecommunications from Swansea University (UK) in 2011, a Master of Science in Communications Engineering from The Robert Gordon University (UK) in 2007 and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharathiar University (India) in 2002.
For the last three years, he is doing research work on future learning and new assessment methods using digital media based solutions. While developping Mobile Tablet based mathematics learning solutions, he has gained advanced skills in user interaction design, user experience and usability engineering as well modern software development methods.He has published several scientific articles in the area of user centred design of digital solutions and student centred learning.
Previously, he has worked on implementation videoconferencing solutions for distance education; and has thought various computer science subjects. His work experience in academia is complemented with good leadership and project management skills that he developped both in his earlier position as an ICT department director, and manager for several projects both in Norway and Rwanda.
