About myself
I was born August 1 1967 and grew up at the farm
Dovland
in Vegusdal, a village in Aust-Agder, Norway.
I work as professor of mathematics at
University of Agder
,
Faculty of technology and science.
Education and Research
My masters degree is in
applied mathematics, reservoar mechanics from Universitetet i Bergen
, 1991.
Here I used a technique from oil-reservoir simulation to model and simulate radioactivily polluted ground water flow. The supervisor was professor
Magne S. Espedal

I obtained the degree Doctor Scient in pure mathematics in 2001. The subject was
Geometry of Banach spaces
and the title of the thesis is
Approximation, Boundedness, Surjectivity
