It was a cold-sunny morning,
we split up the group of the students into two teams and started the first game. Each team went the medium cross-country route in Jaegersberg. On the route we made 4 Stations. One team runs the course in direction of clock, the other team against. Each stations countains group activitys, competitions against time, and coordinativ aspects. Oh and lots of fun.
Station 1: -Tarp-
Quit simple, everyone stands on a big tarp and needs to turn around the tarp. But noone is allowed to touch the tarp with the hands and noone is allowed to touch the ground
Station 2: -Spidernet-
Mission impossible style, we went into the woods and choose aome nice trees. We used two ropes and make a big spidernet between 6 trees.
The group had two tasks on this game, the first task was to come up to us and the second one was to pass the net in the shortest time without touching the ropes.
Station 3: -The floor is lava-
Little kids play it all the time everywhere. On a comand averyone need to find a rock to stand on it cause evrything else will be destroyed by the “lava”. So you need to be fast and it’s also a teamchallange. Cause if one person would’t find a rock in a short time…this person will die. And everyone will lose the game.
Station 4: – cross the crockodil river-
Simple groupdynamic game. 2 teams, every team got a few firewood pieces and need to cross a road with it. It was only alowed to touch the ground with the wood. Sometimes there were 2-3 people on 1 piece of wood and try to hold balance while someone else try to go on with the next piece. It was really funny to see, but before the group starts, they had a small discussion and arguing. It’s good do have a small conversation before they start cause than they can make a plan ore a tactic but on every game ore in every situation in the last month you had the same people discussing and arguing. Sometimes you don’t need to argue the whole time. Sometimes you should accept that someone else has a great idea ore is better than you and than you should follow him. I mean not always is it good to follow. I think I’m not bad in all these outdoor stuff, I have experience in many things, but I can learn so much from guys like Len, Tim, ore everyone else in our group. So I don’t need to lead all the time. I like to lead but often someone else is much better in something than me. And so it’s stupid to discous all the time about every single detail. Let the guy show what he can do and if it’s good you can learn from him/her.
There were a few other games that day, like the beautiful viking warm up game with lots of fun, but what i recognized that day, was the arguing.
Soner ore later you will have a situation where arguing is not possible cause of an emergency ore timepressure. I’m exicted how these people will act in that case.
