First monday to organise for the norwegians,
Meeting at Spicheren with skiis. Everyone was taking some wood and we all together went to Jaegersb.. In jaegers we have been splittet into a few groups to play different games on skiis ore without.
We started with some warm up.
Warm up:
It’s very important do to a warm up, specialy in cold conditions. You prepare youre whole body for action. The bloodflood is getting faster and better into all your muscles, the ligaments getting smooth and a bit streched, the capsules producing more synovialis and your lunge is getting ready for the cold air. And so on. It’s also important for your balance, to feel the small muscles and preparing your techniques.
The warm up was special for skiing. So we did some nice slides without poles and try some little breakes. Some of the games were also with only one ski.
It was nice to see that not every norwegian is born with skiis under their feets.
For me it wasn’t the first time on skiis. I did cross country bevore, 2 times in Norway. But the last time was a year before so I was really happy to see other guys falling too.
Biathlon, kind of:
A small relay game. We were splitted into Groups of 4 and had a normal relay system. We need to drive a small parcour and throw(shoot) with oranges into 2 holes in the snow. After the shooting we had a straight way to run, but only if you don’t miss the holes. Every miss was one penaltyround around a few skiipoles.
We made the first place without any miss, norwegian running power and german technique (Fischerskiis). And lots of fun during the race.
After the race we made lunch.
Lunch:
We made some bonfire in the snow and had our lunch. Most of the norwegians were well prepared, the had sandwiches and saussages and made it on the fire. I just had some oats :/. But next time I will do it like them 🙂
After Lunch we played some more games.
The Sprint:
Everyone was allowed to join a group for a little ski Sprint. One amateur sprint (1km) and one pro sprint (4km). It was really hard to follow the pro ones. the area was steep and I had only a low technique skill in going uphill and no wax under my skiis. I mean it was working, but it wasn’t very easy. But I like challenging myselfe and so it was a beautiful day for doing it.
I tryed different techniques on that day and remeber many things i learned before during cross country. Special the walk uphill i really need to practise in the next weeks. But it’s all about practis practise and…yes…practise.
