2. The first overnight in Jaegers

The first Overnighttrip with the whole group. Just one night but a wet night, for the most.

We met at 4pm and the weather was…beautiful. Rain all the time and wet and slipy slush everywhere. YEHA.

After we arrived we build up our tents. I decided to sleep in my own tarp. So I moved into the forrest for some dry place. Soon I found something nice. Between two trees on half the way up a hill. It was dry and flat. I took my rope and made some straight line between two trees. Than i put my tarp over it and stuck the ends. I put some second Tarp on the ground and collected some sticks and tan needles. With that and snow, I closed the backside of my tarp and the sides. In the front i made my entrace. One side of the tree i closed with my bag and one was open. (30 mins) and you can be much faster after a bit more practise!

After that we started playing games. In full waterprooft dress. Out of my trouser…That was not waterprooft (damned). But i had a big rainponcho and so most of the rain drops down without touching the trouser.

The first game was the british buldog game. After it the lituania show us his game. He made a short story out of the game. That was really good. We need to spin around poles and running against each other ore we need to play some warriorgames. His game was definitly the best game of the day, cause he told a complete story about warriors and what they are doing and how they act if they are drunken (pole game).

The americans had some game with a tarp. That was difficult caus everyone needs to act for the group and it needs a few trys to coordinate everyone.

The Czech guy did some team run with us. He wannts us to carry someone around a course. That was hard and I think everyone hates him for that on that day. But most of us are sportstudents and so it was a good game for endurance and strengh! Good guy Martin.

The germans (me included) did some mix of different games. Games from the playground, running, catching, throwing a few things, etc.

After that we had a nice Icelandic game. Saedis bought some smarties in different colors and gave them to us. We were only allowed to eat them if we tell something about us. Blue smartie, orange smartie, green and brown…different kategories. Like, best moment in your live, worsest moment ever, what you wanna do in your future?…

After all the games we had some last cooking competition. Winner: my team with couscous in whitvine souce and samon with roasted mushrooms.

At least, my night was warm and dry. My tarp was working good against the rain and my sleeping bag was so warm that i need to open it during the night.

What else did I learned today?

Good gear = good sleep
