Remember that multiplying a red tile by a red tile is just multiplying 1 • 1, or removing one group containing one red tile. To remove a red tile when we don't have any tiles, we add a zero pair, and then remove the red tile, leaving a yellow tile. So a yellow tile goes in the lower right position.
We can double check that the answer is zero, as it should be. All the zero pairs cancel.
☐ OK, show me the final video.
☐ That sort of makes sense, but can you show me another way to work out the colour of the final tile?
☐ I'd like to review the video about multiplying red numbers by red numbers.
☐ I'd like to review another video.
