You are right. We have defined multiplication of a red number by a yellow number but not multiplication of a yellow number by a red number, so we can't say it works for all  multiplications of unlike numbers. In fact it does, but we cannot show that yet, because multiplication of a yellow number by a red number isn't defined, yet.
