The following Monday after the Ski Biathlon Weekend in Oslo was the sixth and last Monday trip. The preparation was made by the guys from Roligheden but in retrospective there was no need to because just a couple of people showed up. As consequence, there was no point of doing the program. Nevertheless, we decided to go for a walk and as you can imagine our aim was the clearing at Jegersberg. There, we enjoyed one of the first spring days in Kristiansand. The weather was awesome! It was sunny and the temperature was double-digit.
After the walk we tried different ways to make fire without lither or match. We used a flint and a flint in combination with magnesium powder. Moreover, Chris tried to make fire with a bow but unfortunately he was not able to start one. Following, we all had lunch together and sunbathed. The atmosphere was really relaxed, we were laughing and joking together and after lunch we played football with a ball we found, climbed trees and were snoozing in the sun. Around one to two o’clock we decamped and walked home again.
To sum the Monday trips up, it was, especially during our first weeks, a great possibility to get in touch with the Norwegian students. Furthermore, we got to know Jegersberg and learned a lot in a relaxed atmosphere. I learned most in a playful manner like for example in catch and chasing games with skies and of course I learned a lot by observing. Unfortunately the number of people decreased from time to time wherefore it was not possible to stick to the plan like mentioned above.
