6. – 8. March<\/strong><\/p>\n

Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n

Group: Adele, Anne, Will, Luke, Katja<\/p>\n

The original plan was:
\n1. day: go by bus to Langeid, ski to Tj\u00f6nndalen (7 km)
\n2. day: ski to Gaukhei (13 km)
\n3. day: ski to Bortelid (walk the last part) (18 km)<\/p>\n

The Trip<\/strong><\/p>\n

The beginning of the trip was quite good, even if we had to walk up the hill\"\"<\/a> for the first 2 km (but we knew it before). We had some nice jokings with icicles, good talks and the warm sun was shining. The last part turned out as a problem on top of the hill: the snow was really heavy and wet and the wax didn’t work (maybe Klister would have helped :D). So we tried our best to ski the last 5 km of the day, but also had some snowball fights and breaks. So we arrived the Tj\u00f6nndalen hut in the late afternoon, lit a fire, made dinner and played some candle light card games as always in the nice DNT huts.<\/p>\n

On the next day the weather was completly different: bad snow storm from the east,<\/p>\n

where we wanted to go for the next 13 km! As the snow was still very hard to handle, we decided soon, that we just want to do a daytrip in the surrounding area and change the whole route into going back to Langeid on aur 3rd day insted of Bortelid. Even for the daytrip the weather and snow conditions turned out really hard and we were glad that we made the right decision.<\/p>\n

On the last day the sun was shining again. But that also meant that the snow was melting more and more: the frozen stream on the first day was already fluid and most of the snow on the roof also melted! So again a quite hard skiing in the heavy snow but luckily just for another 5 km and that kind of downhill skiing or walking.<\/p>\n

Group dynamics<\/strong><\/p>\n

The group dynamic was really good, even if the snow and weather conditions were bad, we made the best out of it. Also the main decision on the second day was ok for everybody. The long card games and talkes also brought us closer together.<\/p>\n

Learning outcome<\/strong><\/p>\n

Especially in Norway you have to expect that the weather can change very quick – even when the weather forcast was different. So you always have to be flexible with your route plan and make a plan B for emergencys and of course also be ok and not angry about it as you can’t change the situation!<\/p>\n\n\t\n\t\t
