Preikestolen & Stavanger 18/4/15 – 19/4/15

This weekend ESN organised a trip to Preikestolen the pulpit rock and Stavanger for the International students.

We left Kristiansand early in the morning and arrived at our cabins where we would stay for the night after a few hours. The weather was perfect today and the sun stayed out the whole day. We set off hiking up to Preikestolen as a group, but of course we got split up on the way. The hike was quite steep some of the way but it wasn’t so long and it took me, Nadine and Filippo around one and a half hours to reach the top. The further up we got we started to see more snow and a lot of ice! The views on the way up were amazing but this was nothing compared to when we reached the top!

After spending a few hours up on the rock enjoying lunch and the sun we headed back down to the bottom. The next morning we had a little trip to Stavanger planned, as it was a Sunday nothing in Norway was open so we didn’t have much to do but we did a bit of sight seeing and the weather was good so we could walk around the harbour and see the nice places. This was a really nice city and i would love to come back here another day when we can see more.
