Organised by Gimle group
This Monday was the Gimle group in charge of preparing trip. As usual we all met again if front of the Spicheren gym at 9.15 am. We were divided into two groups just in the beginning of the trip. The groups were mixed both Norwegian and Internationals.
Whole action started with slackline competition. We were supposed to walk into the middle of the slack line and then respond on question. Who was right had a point for whole group. We got the map afterwards and spread into groups of three. Each group was supposed to lead others for about one kilometre. There were several tasks on our way. First task was, as I wrote before, the slackline thing.
Next task was strength improving game – Pulling carrots. One group was supposed to lie on the ground (organising guys had chosen lake beach) and hold their arms. Task for the second group was to pull out every single guy from there. There were many different tactics and all game was very funny and interesting. I may use this game for training strength of children I train.
Third task was game called West against East. It was game simulating Cold war period in which we were supposed to pull guys from the other side to our side. There was a line in the middle and who crossed the line was automatically on the other side. I liked the game but organising guys should think more about making game more attractive. It became a little bit boring after several minutes.
The last game was almost at our lunch spot. There was a chocolate hanging about 4 meters high on the tree and we were supposed to take it. Unfortunately everybody was injured so we could step just no our knees. We had some time to think about how we could be successful. Both groups made something like human pyramid to reach the chocolate.
After this game we had time for lunch. Lunch place was this day different. It was flat rock without trees on the top of the Jegersberg. We had beautiful view. We could see ocean, city and surrounding nature. The weather was very nice and we had pretty nice time up there. It was very enriching to talk with Norwegian guys about Norway, their studies and some other stuff.
I have to say that the Gamle group made very good job. I liked the change of area. We were in Jegersberg but at totally different spots than usual. Even Norwegians said that they haven’t been there before.
