Organised by Kongsgård Allé group
All the Norwegians already organised their trips and now it was our task to prepare some fun and education for them. First in charge of organising Monday trip was Kongsgård Allé group in which I was also participating.
We had a meeting about the Monday trip the day before at our dorm at 6pm. It came up that to agree on program is harder than anyone expected. We’ve had pretty long discussion about what and where we going to do. According to group dynamics I would call that moment “Stroming”. It was very hard to make a deal. Nevertheless final program was quite good and it took us just 2 and half hours to make it up. Destination of our trip was again Jegersberg, concretely 4.5 km skiing round. Our plan was divide International students and Norwegian students into two groups in which were same amount of students from both courses. Their task was to run around the lap. During their journey around Jegersberg there were several stops with different tasks. These tasks were in charge of small groups from Kongsgård Allé group into which we were divided.
The two mixed groups of Internationals and Norwegians were supposed to compete against themselves. Nevertheless it wasn’t direct encounter. Both groups started together with same game but just after the first game had finished they went different direction. That means they didn’t know about second group till the moment they both finished. Points system was 10 points for a winner and 0 point for a looser of every challenge. There 7 challenges in total. Wood-throw pulling, Carrying person for 700 m, Bouldering, Spider-net, Flip the tarp, Crocodile attack and total time of all lap.
The program has started with Sædis’ Viking games for warm up. Then when everybody was physically and mentally prepared the race had begun.
First task was The Wood-throwing pulling. Marek was in charge of this game. Player from one group was supposed to throw the wood as far as possible then the player from second group was supposed to do the same. There was a line in the middle of the groups. After one group had reached the line with throwing the wood far than the other group than they had won.
Second task was in charge of Dominic. It was the game which I’ve introduced at Overnight field trip at Jegersberg. The group was supposed to choose one guy and carry him as fast as possible for 700 m.
Third task was organised by Sædis and Michael. It was a Crocodile attack game. Players stand in a row and their task was to pass a river with crocs using limited amount of wood.
Fourth task was in charge of Chris. Chris made a very well job with building nice spider net. Players were supposed to go through that spider net. Unfortunately Chris forgot to make strict rules so everybody was just crawling on the ground.
Fifth task was prepared by me. It was a bouldering challenge. The group was supposed to climb up 4 meters high rock. They were allowed to help each other with climbing up.
Sixth task was again the game which we already played. It was a Flip the tarp game and it was organised by Jill.
Seventh task was just total time of the race.
After the race had finished we had a lunch in very nice and warm weather. Everybody was enjoying the sun. When all the guys finished their meals we told them the results of the race and gave a chocolate price for a winner team. I hope that Norwegians and other Internationals liked the Monday trip prepared by our group.
