This Monday trip with Norwegians is a little bit different than others we already had, because we were almost all the time moving, walking in Jegesberg. The day was very rainy and dark, we had to wear our waterproofed clothes. Also I bring with me in my backpack my knife, lighter, meal and warm tea, rope and some extra clothes. So we started our trip near Spicheren, split in to 2 mixed Norwegian-international groups, and went on 2 different directions (first group on one direction, second on other direction). When we left Spicheren, the group in which I was also separated in to three 3 people teams, for upcoming games and tasks. One of these tasks (orientation task for every team) was: with map for one team lead all group to one or few marked places in the map and it is started from the beginning of the trip. On the way of trip route time to time we had some extra tasks and group dynamic games. First game was held in the flat area. Every team had to race some distance like this: one of teams male had to carry/ run with female team member on his back, then after one done the lap, other male of the team had to do the same. Our team (Saedis, Adrian and Me) didn’t won, but we finished in second place. After this game, our group went further, with another team leading the way. Of course other teams and their members could read and follow the map too (like I was doing), because It was like practice in orientating, you still follow and try to recognize features around you in the map like rocks, lakes rivers, pounds and etc… After while we stopped again for second task.
Every member of one team once had to go up on to the hill, where was built some kind of construction of different shape and color wooden parts, then that member had to get back down, where was other team members, and tell them how to build the same construction with same wooden parts. Winner team was that who built exactly the same tower like on uphill fastest. Our team was fastest, but we forgot shout “we done”, so other team done this thing faster and we was second again. Later whe we done this game, we left to the camp-meeting place. When our group get there, we met with another group, separate again in 2 different teams and we had task to start the fire and burn down the rope over the fireplace faster than other team. It was hard to do that for our team, because we got really inappropriate knifes for slicing wood in to small pieces, 2 of it just break. Of course rain and wind didn’t helped to do this too, and our team was second
again. After the short lunch, I had some canned food, we again split in to the same groups like in the beginning of the trip and kept going on our route. After while we stopped for the fourth game: to build the biggest tower of branches. This time our team didn’t succeed and we didn’t won again. After this game It was time to lead for our team
and It was a little bit boring, because we had only to follow the road, and that’s not challenging. The last task was held at the “Green field”. We had to pretend that one of our teams member leg is broken, or something happened to it, and we had to stick the leg with something -straight branches or other things. After we “fixed” it teams had to carry the “wounded” person on uphill and get back. After few laps Norwegians told us that last lap we need to race. This time I really wanted to win, so when the race begun, while other teams was carrying the injured person on their arms, I decided to jump all the way on one leg with teammates help, and we finally won.
After all I think that It was good that we finally did something different than staying in one and the same place at “green field”, because we could enjoy with Jegersberg nature and views more. Also, we had many activities and team games (some of them was new to me and interesting), which was good for group cohesion. Last task was even like a lesson and practice for the possible future. So all in all after this day I was feeling wet :D.
