Monday Trip 6
On the sixth of March it was our groups (George, Bowen, Connor, Me) turn to organize the Monday trip. We were supposed to focus on team building activities. We started off with a running game to guarantee that everybody would be warm in the snowy conditions. After that we split the class into four different groups consisting on nine to ten people. We had prepared four different tasks the groups had to accomplish as fast as possible.
- Spider Web
- Titanic
- Tarp Folding
- Blind Parcour
Each of our organization group supervised one of those stations. I was taking care of the Titanic station. The task at this station was to reach a safe island with the help of five “ice floes”. Although the motivation of the group was not very high at the beginning one could see the ambition during the games increasing. Especially at my station that the groups have become really comfortable around each other and enjoyed the challenge of fitting as many people as possible on one ice floe in order to accomplish the task. Also it was quite interesting to see the several solution methods to the task. After completing those four games we had lunch together. After the lunchtime we had two more games for the groups. Two of the original groups played “chicken rounders”. And the other two played “21”
