Ski day: Observation tasks

It was sunny day there was not any wind at all. The snow was not soft  so that’s why we needed to wax our skis before our trip.We left the meeting point at 9.30 and went to Jegersberg. It took about  1 hour.

Jegersberg is a quite good place for cross country begginers like me, because the area of Jegersberg isn’t very steep. The lenght of cross country path is about 9 kilometers.I couldn’t find any rocks or other barriers on this way. This is very nice place to ski because all area are surrounded by forest.

The skiing area of Jegersberg is divided into two circles:

The smaller circle is easer and it’s less than 2 kilometers. The bigger one is about 5 kilometers.

Before we started a circle we had some games and i think it was a good way how we can learn some basics of skiing. I liked this because it was good organised and also joyful. The first activity was to go down from 10 metres hill, after that we had to touch our ankles with hands while we were going down. Next, we had to focus not only on skiing, but on other movement we needed to throw our beanie hats to trainer, so it was multitasking activity and it improved our motor skills, because of various movements. We had to use a lot of muscles.

These activities motivated me, because it was challenging and competetive, the group leader involved us to enjoy the training. The training was like competitions or game maybe, that’s why we  enjoyed to be the part of this great activity.

The trainer was keep giving advices, always gave compliments after we learning it step by step, which made me being self-confident. He made good job with organising the timetable. First of all, we warmed up by taking a distance to reach our destination point.

We continued by playing games and finally we was ready for the longer distance.
As i said earlier i’m not good at skiing, that’s why i tried just the shorter lap.

All in all, it was good organised day. The trainer tought us how to control our skis. I think,  teacher chose good teaching methods. During the game time we had fun as well. In that case we having a free game, maybe we wouldn’t learn the correct technique. My  advice is that we should have a cool down exercises in the end of skiing. It is as important as warm up.

In the end of the day i was really tired, satisfied, because i spent a great time with groupmates, i learnt new techniques improving my skiing skills.
