18Th of march i woke up early at 6 o’clock because i wasn’t packed my backpack before so i did it in the morning. I ate my breakfast, did other home duties and finally at 2 PM we met each other at Luke’s place. I was still with injured ankle so this hike/trip to Jegersberg was perfect for me.

All my stuff for this trip

Our plan for this day was to reach one of the most popular place in Kristiansand Upside boat(omventebat). The hike was’nt so difficult talking about route, the route was marked blue dots and it was not hard to reach it. But we decided that we will go tomorrow. After, we search place to stay overnight and we found a really good spot to stay it was stream nearby us, the are where we decide to sleep was flat, so we don’t waiting for something started to set up the camp place:
I blowed my swiss military mat, set up my bivy bag and take out my “husky” sleeping bag. Luke set up his army tarp and Jolinda set up the tarp in a new way.Our camp looks good. The whole camp was set about 16 o’clock so after that we had a lot of time for other things.
Afterwards Luke set up nice campfire in the centre of the camp and made a reflection from logs to keep the place warmer , Jolinda searched the stones to put around the fireplace and i brought a dry wood. Also Luke give us some tips how to make your coocking easer he made a pot hanger and showed how to do it.
Later Jolinda was preparing a dinner for tonight, she was making couscous it was really nice dinner. The stream was 100 meter from our camp so we was not worry about lack of the water…
After the dinner we just chilled, talked, just spent good time sitting near campfire. In the end of the day we was expecting the northern lights, but unfortunately it didn’t appeared so we went to sleep It was the first time when i was using my bivy bag.

19TH of March I slept good, but when I woke up I saw that something was wrong-my bivy bag was upside down 😀 Pegs didn’t help 😀
Sun is shining today, I guess this nice weather will be all day. Our plan for today is to reach Linvatna lake.
Firstly we ate breakfast, talked about a lot of things near campfire, made some hot water for tea and coffe. And finally about 12 o’clock we started hike and very fast we reached Upsideboat(omventebat). We met very active senior, we talked with him and then we figure-out that this person maybe was outdoor education lecture, because he told us that his profession was survival, climbing instructor.
He suggest us change route because there is a nice route at the west edge of Jegersberg. And in this route you can find a nice hut, and it’s very nice because according to weather forecast for tonight it will probably rain, it’s not what I expected from today weather.
During the hike we met the same person, so we talked more with him he was very enthusiastic about the hike we doing, he old us some stories about hike and climb experience he had when he was younger.

At 4 we found the hut, it’s really old hut, but It’s very nice and causy. We set up our gear and sleeping stuff in the hut, created nice fireplace and just chill near the fireplace for few hours, then it was my turn to make a dinner so I made rice with vegetables.Everyone was happy after that.
after the dinner we talked and planed our snowhole trip which will be after few days , and we decided that tomorrow we finish our hike, because it will be more time to prepare for the snowhole trip which will be in Berdalsbu.
During the conversation it started to rain so we went to our hut to sleep, I was lucky because my sleeping place was flat and without nails not like luke’s 😀 we talked a little bit and fall asleep.

20TH of march we woke up about ten o’clock we was expecting to see sun eclipse, but unfortunately it was too cloudy and we didn’t see that. We packed our gear and then we went home.

In conclusion I took too much food and clothes with me, and the trip was special for me because it wasn’t a lot of pressure for my ankle. Hiking route was nice I saw a lot of nice places, in one place even I tried to meditate because it was very calm and peaceful.
