Today was the first day trip that would be organized by our class instead of the Norwegian one. We split ourselves up in thirds so it would be easier to plan and manage. I was scheduled to be apart of the third group to plan the very last trip, but we’ll come back to that at another time.
We met up at Spicheren again (our gym) and from there went to Jegersberg once more. We began the day playing a few fun viking games that Saedis showed us, I totally won my little duels. From there we were split into two teams and we’d compete against each other in different activities. After deciding which team would go to what activity based on a log throwing game, we headed off to our first activity.
Our first activity was to cross a “crocodile infested lake” which was just navigating across the ground by using a limited number of logs. This wasn’t too difficult because a few of us had done this sort of activity a couple of times before and we got through it easily. The next activity was one that I had showed to our class on our overnight trip. We had to flip a tarp without using our hands and we got through it in record time because I already knew the most efficient way to do it! The next activity was to climb over a tall rock together and that was easy and our last activity was to get through an area that was crisscrossed with ropes without touching any and that wasn’t too bad when we helped guide each other through.
All in all it was a fun day, our communication skills increased, and we got to became closer with the Norwegian class!
