Sondagstur
As an old Norwegian saying says: Ut pa tur aldri sur. Wich means something like out on a trip without negative feelings towards it. ( free translation by myself). Another Norwegian saying says: there is no bad weather, only bad clothing.
Alot of Norwegians go out with their family on Sunday for a trip. Hiking in the nature, making a fire and grill some sausages. This is what the Norwegians wanted to experience. So off we went. With the whole group of both internationals and Norwegians we went to Jegersberg. First to Holmenkollen where we had a break with some orange and kvikklunsj wich we where all told to bring. Then we continued our trip to dem omvendte bat (flipped over boat). Here we got to experience real Norwegian weather. The view of 100 meters was amazingĀ and the rain was a good test for our equipment. After spending at least 5 minutes on the top we made our way down to a more wind sheltered area. We made a fire and grilled some sausages. After a while everybody got cold and we decided to call it a day. The hot pool in spicheren came as relieve.
It was a nice trip to meet the norwegians and the get some knowledge about there culture. The weather could not have been better to display how much Norwegians care about going out in Nature regardless of weather.
Group dynamics games and getting to know eachother
On another trip with the Norwegians we went to Jegers again, this time to get to know each others names and play some games. After a fun game I rememberd all the names as we got to Jegers. And there we continued with some other games. We ended the short day with a fire and some lunch together.
Geocatching in the rain
Our third trip was the worst of all. The activities where fun, but the weather was awfull. After walking around in Jegers for hours getting soaking wet and really cold trying to find answers to the questions we where all so done and happy to go to spicheren to warm up in the jacuzi.
Caputre the flag with the emotions running almost out of hand
After the Norwegians organised alot of fun activities, it was our turn. Some of us and mostly Sharon taking the lead, organised a capture the flag game in Jegers. Two teams, Two field, Two flags. Everybody was so engaged and running around trying to run away from eachother or capturing the flag and sneaking around through the bushes. In the end of the game the emotions almost got out of hand beacuse everyone was so competative and wanted to win. But when walking back to spicheren everybody could laugh about it.
