Hvem vil vel ikke ha verdens viktigste jobb? Jeg skjønner ikke at det er noe å lure på. Personlig ser jeg det som et stort privilegium såvel som et enormt ansvar å få jobbe med noe av det mest spennende i verden. Nemlig mennesker. Og hva er vel mer spennende enn nettopp ungdom?
Det er mange “riktige” ord jeg kan bruke når jeg legger ut om nettopp dette. Ord som viser til pensum og ord som en rektor med respekt for seg selv og skolen han/hun jobber på sikkert hadde blitt glad for å høre. Jeg kan snakke om at jeg ønsker å være et stillas rundt den kommende generasjonen og hvordan et barnesinn kan sammenlignes med et rent lerret. Men jeg vil si litt om relasjoner.
Det er nemlig relasjonene som gjør at jeg vil bli lærer. Det handler om mer enn at jeg syns engelsk grammatikk og litteratur er facinerende og spennende. Jeg vil lære mine fremtidige elever MER enn bare fakta om 2. VK, hvilke politiske retninger vi har i Norge og hva hovedstaden i Litauen heter. Jeg vil bli kjent med de. Vite hva de tenker om ting. Høre på hva de føler. Jeg vil hjelpe dem til å ytre sine meninger, tenke selv og våge å stå for det.
Hvilke visjoner har jeg for mitt arbeid i skolen? Jeg har en visjon om å gjøre en forskjell. Jeg drømmer om å ha tid nok til hver elev, se dem utvikle seg og modnes til å bli reflekterte unge voksne. Mange vil nok le av meg og fnyse over mine “urealistiske” drømmer. Men jeg håper aldri jeg lar meg påvirke så mye at jeg mister gløden, håpet og troen på fremtidens voksne.

Next time I read a blog, I hope that it won’t disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read through, however I actually believed you would have something helpful to talk about.
