Follow along my semester studying Outdoor Education at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway!

My name is Claire Vaage and I am an international student from Boise, Idaho in the United States. I attend Boise State University and will graduate in the spring of 2022 with my Bachelor’s of Arts in Environmental Studies. I chose to study in Norway because of my personal heritage and the country’s orientation towards the natural world. Throughout my five months in Norway, I have had the joy of learning history, theoretical concepts, and practical knowledge within outdoor education. Most importantly, I have discovered my identity and passions as a veileder (way leader) that will carry me throughout my life.
