Thrid trip with Norwegian students!

This Monday we met in the hut which is located in nearby our Uni.

The weather is quite cold and rainy gloomy day and I prepared waterproof clothes.

when I arrived there I saw that

people were making a fire, and I just tried to collect the dry woods but its quite hard to find that one

Also, I heard that today we gonna practice Orienteering that we have to see the map and find our routes and we divided 8 Groups and our group was Me, Malte, and Michelle and two Norwegian students  And we got a marked map that we have to find where is the place. And it wasn’t far from our place!

Before going to that marked place we were checking our map and used our compass to find the way. And obviously, I`m not used to checking the map, So I just kept asking Norwegian students, How to see the map 🙂

And when we arrived marked place we had to take a picture, that we’ve been marked place.

Also, we just wanted to make some creative pictures, So we

took pictures like that

Be creative!

After that when we went back to hut, We learned about how to Use our compass and we played the game! that we have to hide our stuff and other groups have to find just using they’re compass and distance(the team who hides stuff tell the approximate distance)

it is a quite fresh experience that I had, Because I asked Norwegian students, How did u know this kind of skills and they said to me when they were young they learned about Orienteering, How to see the map and compass, Compare to Korea, we don`t learn this kind of things in school so it was really fresh experience.

Due to these activities, I learned how to use a compass and

how to see the map. Honestly, I thought that we don’t need to use the map because we already have our phone and usually phone can let us know where I am and which way to go, so I thought It’s not necessary to see the map but sometimes we don’t have any battery or data is not work we can`t find the way, so I think today’s activities are really useful in the future!
