The target will be changed

13th january 2020

Monday morning, the night was very cold and the ground was frozen. Our meeting point was Spicheren at 9 o’ clock in the morning. A lot of our class mates and the Norwegian students came late because the frozen ground. You couldn’t walk normal, because it was so slippery. In the military i have learned always to calculate some more time for a meeting. So normally i will be there 10 minutes before. This is the reason i was on time. On 9.15 we were all together and one of the norwegian student gave a little briefing about the walk we would do. 09.20 we started hiking to the Den omvendte båt ,which means more or less directly translated the reversed boat. It’s a little rock in the water whick looks like a boat. Hiking on a slippery ground like this on this morning isn’t so comfortable. Every step should be searched. Maybe one gadget more in the bag could be helpful. Spikes, how wonderful would it be to hike with them. Therefore it is worth to considering. But today it will be fine without to. Ho and i talking about our time in the military and looking at the wonderful landscape. Every where is something special. One time a plant i never saw before, there some views and smells. I felt like i was a child, in this time all the things around me, were special. Also the topics i have spoken with my mates. I should actually say the most time i have spoken, was with the international students. With one guy from Norwegian i had spoken a lot about our countries and what the different between them are. In the middle of the hike, we had spoken about secure the country, the leader of this trip has taken all the people together. He said that we changed target. This because the most part of the international student’s have already been there. The next target is Holmenkollen ( not the famous Holmenkollen in Oslo). I think this is a thing to be a well leader. You need all the time a plan B. It’s a question aboout the planing before. Neither it should not mean after planing it doesn’t change. You should be able every time to change something. So it needs a kind of dynamic.

We arrived on Holmenkollen and i was speechless. I have never saw a spectacle like this. The play of lights in the morning was amazing. Compared with the fresh air i became a feeling of freedom.

The campfire was ignited. We sat around the campfire and talked with each other. Until Haron and the leader of the norwegian class our class rules announced. Everyone agreed this rules. One rule is, everybody speaks in english. This should help us to break the wall of shyness and we could respond to every conversation. I saw this rules has changed a lot in the dynamic of the group. We played some games to know each other better. The norwegian just like the international student’s wasn’t anymore so shy like before some good conversations wil be started. This showed me, we human are sociable but the fact is, our shyness keep us away from this. In this sense, as in other things, a step more and more out of the comfort zone will put the shyness down.

It was so healthy for me to stay with nice people on a nice trip, and i will try to come step on step more and more of the comfort zone.
