Today I learnt the fastest way to be sees as unreliable is to be late in the cold. Len, “Don’t be sorry, Be on time.” I felt really nervous about coming because I am sick with a chest infection. My pack was also heavier that the Alta trip because of the extra food weight. Len told the group today that we would all have a go at leading the group at some point. Bowen went first and gave out group roles such as front and back markers and the sled in the middle. This worked pretty well. Then Elouise led and it wasn’t as great because she just went at the front and couldn’t keep an eye on the whole group. This turned out okay thought because she was one of the slower skiers in the group.
