So far gender roles are a little frustrating – Particularly when doing ‘masculine’ activities like chopping firewood. Also I don’t understand English lad banter at all – and I’m a native english speaker! Not sure if the Germans and the Swiss understand either what the English are saying when the lads all get together and have a grumble.
